Not Good, but not bad, June 13, 2009 Rating: 6.1/10 By Unregistered (Not Registered) It is a painstaking task at hand but somebody has to do it. That's how you feel playing this absurd little gem from Inscape (1995). Adventures of The Smart Patrol is one of those never to be repeated CD-ROM experiences along the lines of Bad Day On The Midway. There is one thing for certain. If you click the wrong way at any given time, you won't win, but you will have an interesting time figuring out where to go the next time you play. Also, you may just have to start all over. The game does not save your inventory, so when you restart your saved game, you need to get everything again, which in some cases is impossible to do. So, play this game when you have time to start over often; trial and error. For those of you who are interested in playing the game, I suggest that you play it in three parts. The first part you need to try and get all 5 Devo video rules in your inventory. The only way to do this is to visit 4 locations in a particular order. After that then you will be able to go through Boogie Boy's artwork and travel to any hour that you already had "lived". The second part is utilizing this artwork as a portal, it's called Boogie Boy's "My Struggle" Gallery. You can only use the pictures that connect to locations, i.e; inside Lifeforms Unlimited or Club Devo etc. Somewhere along the way, you need to visit the donut shop and buy some donuts, then over to Club Devo in hour 8 to shoot a Kalimba brother. After that, the game goes 3 seperate ways, all of the endings are a result of what you could and could not accomplish. The best advice is, at the halfway point, get to know the "My Struggle" gallery and which portal takes you to which location. It's based on the pictures in the gallery and timing is everything in this quagmire of frustration. Go ahead Turkey Monkey, make my day!Edit Review
